EVO< well, yet again, another self insert FNaF-related story !
i hope this is a bit better than my last ! :^)
Happy reading !

       It was near closing time, the over-com in the far upper corners of the rooms booming with the same recorded voice - nearly smothered from the sound of children's laughter from the band on stage;
" Thank you all for visiting Freddy Fazbear's Pizzaria! Please, come again - and do not leave any belongings behind! We will be locking the doors at 10'! Thank you once again, and we hope to see you all again soon! " You sigh, rolling your eyes. It's been almost a week since you first started this job, and it's already a bore for you.

Surprisingly, the only job opening other than the night security guard was the night janitor - and since you had no history of putting up a fight in case of an intruder, you decided to take the janitor shift. It was the easiest job around town so far - and hey, the pizza place was only two blocks away from your house! Lucky you, right?

After about a half hour passed as you sat on one of the wooden bar stools set by the counter near the front of the building, resting your chin in the palm of your hand as you watched the giddy children scurrying through the doors with their parents. You smile a bit - remembering how happy you were yourself about visiting places like these. You snap out of your day dream to a hand on your shoulder, your head jerking up to see behind you.

" Oh -- don't scare me like that !! " You pout, your eyebrows furrowing. The other chuckled, shrugging his shoulders. You feel your cheeks flaring up with embarrassment - since you obviously hated being surprised like that.

" Hey, don't be so hard on yourself! " He dug into his front pockets for a moment, pulling out two name tags. You glance down at them, the names reading; MIKE SCHMIDT and yours! He hands your tag over to you and you pin it to your blue collared t-shirt. He does the same, shifting his weight a bit. You feel a bit more comfortable now - as if you already fit into the family! Mike puts a finger in the air before he spoke, inhaling sharply.

" Listen -- the janitor's job isn't all that hard, but trust me.. it can get way too messy over by the stage, over there.. " He pointed a thumb over to the stage, chuckling to himself.
" The little brats never seem to really care about who has to clean up 'round here, anyways. " He shrugs once more, fixing the Night Guard hat on the top of his head.
" Anyways - I just decided to swing by before my shift started - and I wanted to give you a quick heads up before it hit '12. " You tilt your head slightly at this in curiosity; what did he exactly need to tell you? Working like this doesn't seem to have any kind of backfire - actually, the job is pretty harmless! He cleared his throat, taking note of your curiosity.
" Well! Where do I start..? " He looked up at the ceiling, frowning a bit.
" Hmm - well, the animatronics seem to be a bit more active as the night progresses - so there's one thing.. and I forgot what else I was supposed to warn you about.. " He scratched underneath his hat, furrowing his eyebrows in frustration.

You shake your head in disbelief. What did he mean 'warn you about'? You turn in the bar stool to face him, crossing your arms over your chest.
" Warn me? Warn me about what? " He looked down at you, chuckling once more.

" I'm sure that it's nothing to be too worried about! Trust me - nothing will happen. Just don't touch the animatronic 'buckets' and you'll be fine! " He waved 'goodbye' to you, strolling down to the back room where the maintenance, staff room and security office was. Did he just call them 'buckets'? You scoff. He did seem like a bit of a nut case, any ways. You hop up onto your feet as you check the clock on the wall to see the time. 11:54, to be exact. Almost show time!
You follow in his foot steps into the back room, grabbing the bucket and mop and drug it out behind you on the floor into the kitchen. Aaaalmoost there -- you fling the bucket up into the sink where they wash the dishes, filling it up half way with warm water - pulling it back out and sighed.
This could be a bit harder than you thought - well, who could blame you? Carrying this huge bucket around with you for six hours could be a bit tough. It could be harder, though - you could've had Mike's job, after all! Poor guy - he was probably worn out from staring at those cameras all night!
You shake your head - no time for sympathy, after all! You drag the bucket out into the front doors, plunging the mop into the bucket and pulled it out. You wiped down the linoleum flooring time after time, the pearl and ruby colored tiles shining like new. You lean your weight on the mops handle, staring down at what you did with pride - the beginning to a perfect ending!

You stick the mop back into the bucket and carry both into the stage room, continuing the same process along the stage floor. You stare up at the three animatronics for a moment, your eyes narrowing. Of course, you may just be paranoid - robots like these always seemed to creep you out. You shrug your shoulders, trying to ignore them for now. After looking down at the wooden stage, you pull it back out and head for the Kid's Cove. You should, of course, have went there last - since all you had to do was vacuum up the carpet in the game and prize room - so you could've went in there last, once again! But of course, you didn't. You instantly begin to kick yourself in your mind for doing so, since if you did the other plan that you had in mind, you could have been let out a few hours early! You sigh, looking up at the ceiling before entering.
It's fine - you had to at least become accustomed to the place as well as you could.

As you drag your materials into the room, you drop them onto the ground and scan the room for anything of interest. Procrastinating was your favorite thing to do, after all. Your eye stops on the strange, coiled up white animatronic in the center of the room. You furrow your eyebrows - did something happen to it? Boy, would you get in trouble if they find out that this happened while it was on your shift! You hurry over to the strange fox, sitting on your knees. You pick up pieces every now and then to examine the strange object, furrowing your eyebrows. Who would even do such a thing to an innocent child's play thing? You shake your head to yourself, wrapping your arms around the mangled mess and hoisted it up onto the table next to it. Now that it's out of the way - you can finally get back to cleaning that room of yours! You spin back around on your heels and take the bucket by the handle, dragging it into the room. You stop as you looked back at the table - the pale fox disappearing! You gasp in surprise, letting go of the bucket - the water dumping all over the floor and your shoes. Of course, you pay no attention to it - the -- thing is gone!

You look all over the room for it, but nothing to be found. With a sigh, you sit on the bench that was attached to the tables. Maybe it was one of the night guard's jokes? The reason he was acting weird was probably because he was planning something like that for you! You clench your teeth tight in outrage, storming into the security office. He couldn't be serious! Of course - you are!
You knock on the wall in front of him to get his attention, Mike jumping in surprise. He reached beside him and pulled on what looked like a replica of the Freddy Fazbear mask - what was with this guy? He looks up at you, slowly taking it off.

" What do you think you're doing here? " He snapped at you, clenching his fists.
" You should be doing your job, not being here! " Mike waved a hand for you to leave, but you just crossed your arms. You absolutely had to know if it was him or not. It was always a habit of yours to do what you want to do - when you want it, after all.
I mean - cleaning up the water you dropped onto the floor and getting more wasn't exactly what you were planning - especially, once again, you were planning to leave a few hours early.
He shrugs, pointing his middle finger at you. You roll your eyes, shaking your head.
You're not gonna deal with this now - just get this night over with.

You hurry back into the Kid's Cove, your feet losing traction fast. You slip and fall onto your back with a loud 'thud', the wind nearly knocked out of your chest. You close your eyes slowly, just lying there and trying to catch your breath with as less pain as possible. As you open them after a minute or two, you're greeted by the same mangled face as you put on the table - and not to mention, was lost! You narrow your eyes, not sure if you should trust what you're seeing..
" Did I really fall that hard? " You say to yourself, still lying in the puddle of water.
Mangle stared down from the ceiling at you, a small smile across her face.

" Boy, you took quite the tumble! " The animatronic observed, a concerned voice followed behind her. You gasp, your body jerking back to life. You scramble to sit up, breathing heavily. Although it was painful - you try your hardest to get past what you're seeing. Mangle slowly climbed down from the ceiling, and dropped down onto the table with her bare endoskeleton slinking away behind her. You look up at her with curiosity and concern. Doesn't Mike see what's happening? Shouldn't he be helping you right about now? Mangle tilted her head to the side, resting her chin in her hand.

" What's the matter, sweetie? Didn't your mother tell you that it isn't polite to stare? " She crossed her arms, looking you over for a moment. What was it even doing? How was it talking?
You tilt your head to the side, frowning.

" A-Actually - she did! Excuse me for asking, but.. who are you? You don't look like the new Foxy at all - for from what I hear, after all! " She fluttered her eye lashes, giving you an obvious surprised and curious look. Were you new here? Oh, did you have a lot to learn!
Mangle rolled her eyes, rapping her fingers against the tabletop. Finally, she sits up as best as she could, curtsying before you.

" My name's Mangle - Miss Mangle! " She nodded her head, the ears clipped to the dome's surface bouncing around as she did so. You crossed your legs, resting your chin in your hand - not so sure if you should be either staying or running at this point.

" Miss Mangle? I thought Foxy was a guy..! " You looked the other over, spotting the pink eye shadow and circlets of blush on her cheeks, an the haphazard blobs of red lipstick smeared along the fox's lips. You shrug it off as it was a bit confused.

" Oh, no, dearie! I'm not Foxy at all! I'm his replacement! " She stated proudly, raising a hand in pride. You roll your eyes, scoffing. This thing couldn't be serious, could it? Mangle looked down at the floor, a surprised look on her face.
" Excuse me, sweetie - but would you mind cleaning up the bit of a mess you made on the floor? It'd be a bit hard for me to move around, after all! " She fluttered her eyelashes once more - as it appears to be some sort of habit for her. You shrug, as that was what you were going to do in the first place. Mangle held out a hand for you to take to help you up - in which you gladly took as you wobbled up to your feet. You let go of her hand, trying your best to avoid the large puddle of water that you had slipped on. You hear a snicker from behind your back - to which you spin around to see what it was about.
Mangle was staring at your back - which from your shoulders down to your calves were soaked in the soapy residue since you fell down. Your cheeks are set aflame with embarrassment once more, your fists clenching tightly. But you slowly calmed down - you shouldn't let a dumb robot animal make fun of you, after all. That'd just be ridiculous.

You grab the mop with one hand, the other holding yourself in place instead of falling from the doorway. You brush the mop against the linoleum floor, hoping to strike up a conversation with the animatronic while you were at it;
" So - how did you get the way you are? " You look up to see her, her expression turning from subtle happiness to utter shock. Did you ask the wrong question? If not - what was her problem? You stop as you were almost halfway done, looking up at her. She put a hand on her cheek, looking down at the floor with embarrassment.

" I-I'm sorry if I'm scaring you! " She sighed, her eye that was left in her glimmering plastic shell jerking up to see you. Mangle faked a sniffle, looking back down.
" I-It was the children, actually.. they couldn't help but play with me a bit too much! They loved me oh-so much! " She sighed softly, remembering the great times she had spent with the kids over the years. It was so nice that they liked her even now, too! But - not as much..
" But it isn't their fault, after all! The staff probably forgot to put me back together again, that's all.. maybe someday, they'll come to remember me and put me back together again! That'd be the best day of my life, I'll tell you! But until then - as long as the children are happy, I'm happy - and that's all that matters to me! " She clapped her hands together, giggling. You do the same, happy just to see her happy as well.

You continue to mop up what was left, cleaning the floor with the water that sprayed about while you were at it. You go back and forth with her for a good ten minutes asking questions, giving advice, and most of all - having fun. After you finished cleaning the room, you checked to see if the floor was dry enough for her to walk on it again - as to which it was. You point a thumbs-up at her, Mangle nodding with a wide, sharp-toothed smile. She climbs down from the table, curling back into her normal place in the middle of the room. She waved a hand goodbye, you returning the favor.
Suddenly - you remember you have two more rooms to clean up! You groan in anger, hurrying off into the maintenance room to return the mop and bucket in exchange for the vacuum and glass cleaner. You're stopped by a hand grabbing the collar of your shirt, slowly turning you around on your heels. You're met eye-to-eye with Mike, his face angrier than ever.
What did you do this time?

" You. " He snapped, pointing a finger just barely five centimeters away from your face. You flinch, but his hand stays in place either way. You look up at him, whimpering softly.
You didn't do anything wrong - nothing was broken! Everything was fine! Mike held his watch close to his face to check the time - 5:59. He looked back at you, letting go instantly.
" It's almost 6.. you better not let me catch you doing some stunt like that again - or you're definitely fired and banned from all Freddy Fazbear's restaurants. "

You nod in reply, obviously still a bit shaken from the encounter.
Better luck next night, though!
well, I made another one - but this time, with the newer foxy !! :^)

Ok, I'm not exactly understanding why Mike was mad at us.
